IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, PLEASE CONTACT MARK DIRECTLY TO CONFIRM LESSON - THE STORE MAY BE CLOSED, BUT THE LESSONS MAY STILL BE OFFERED.

Lesson Policy:

To assure a consistent lesson time on a weekly basis, lessons are to be paid by the month (either 4 week or 5 week months) at the beginning of each month.  Should there be a conflict on your part (whether sickness, work conflicts, or vacation) then we will make every attempt to reschedule your lesson for another day within that week. There are no refunds for lesson that are not used.  You are paying for a specific time in the schedule.

**Please note: it is incumbent on all students to attend lessons with their own instruments.  It is understood that on occasion this may not be feasible – it that case Mark will provide an instrument or a used one may be used – selected by Mark.  Thank you for respecting this policy.

(Should Mark be unable to provide a lesson on your appointed day, you will be credited towards your next month, if you choose not to be rescheduled at your convenience.)

Lesson Payments:

There are two price points for lessons - those paid monthly vs. those paid weekly by available appointment only – this means that as a student who pays by the week, you may not consistently have the same lesson time.

You will see listed below the lesson prices for ½ hour and 1 hour individual lessons - reflecting the cost savings by paying monthly.

All check payments for lessons will be made out to our teacher:  Mark Cecchini (MC Guitar Works).  Lessons may be paid for in cash, check or credit card (Visa/MC/Discover/Amex).

 Please be prepared to do this prior to your first lesson.

STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18:

Parents must be either present for lessons or wait in the waiting area of the store, or other on-site location,  while the lesson is in session.  Should you need to leave the premises during the lesson time, including during times when the store is open, we would like to request that a waiver form be signed, which must include a cell phone contact for emergencies.  Additionally, should you leave the premises, it is essential that you are here to pick up your student at time that the lesson concludes.

Students who have lessons after the normal store hours, must wait for Mark to let them in.  After store hours, no one is allowed to wait in the store either before or after a lesson.  Mark cannot be responsible for the safety of your child when the store is closed, but, cannot, in good conscience, leave a student outside to wait for a parent who is detained.  Mark respectfully requests that you abide by this policy in the interest of your children’s safety.

MUSICAL SELECTIONS FOR LESSONS:

Mark requests that the music that your children present in the lesson be appropriate in both language and subject matter.  Sadly, much of what is available in the current music scene has objectionable language (repetitive curse words, derogatory terminology) and unacceptable subject matter (references to sexual activities and demeaning behavior) – and this is now being brought into the lessons.  There is a wealth of current music that is both musically exciting and emotionally satisfying, without these negatives.  Mark encourages you to discuss this with your children so that you can agree on what would be appropriate to learn.  It is our responsibility to bring this to your attention, should your child choose not to follow these standards of acceptable music.

WE APPRECIATE OUR STUDENTS AND KNOW THAT WE CAN MAKE GREAT MUSIC TOGETHER!!

 Lesson Prices:

 1/2 Hour Lesson: $25.00 ($100 OR $125) PAID PRIOR TO EACH MONTH;

½ Hour Lesson: $30.00 (individual) PAID WEEKLY/1 WK. IN ADVANCE;

 Students Under 18 Years of Age:

It is our policy that a parent be on the premises during lessons for students under 18 years of age, when scheduled during Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars’ normal hours of operation (10 AM to 6 PM – Tues. to Fri, and 10 AM to 4 PM – Sat.), or before or after hours.   A parent must sign a waiver to allow their child to remain on the premises without being present themselves.

 Cancellation Policy:

Please notify Mark Cecchini a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your lesson day regarding any changes or cancellations, and this will guarantee that he will attempt to reschedule the lesson for you.   There are no refunds for lessons that are missed or cancelled, whether paid weekly or monthly.

Any adjustments to this policy are at the discretion of Mark Cecchini.

Parent Waiver for Students Under 18 Years of Age

It is the policy of Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars and MC Guitar Works that any student under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent during lessons, even if the lesson falls during the times that are Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars normal hours of operation (10 AM to 6 PM – Tues. to Friday; 10 AM to 4 PM - Sat.). Should you choose to leave the premises during the lesson, then this waiver must be completed.  ADDITIONALLY, FOR ALL STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WHO HAVE LESSONS AFTER THE NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION FOR BHVG, THIS COMPLETED FORM IS REQUIRED.

We understand that this may seem to be an inconvenience to some, but, in the interest of safety and security for all parties (examples of this include a sudden illness, loss of consciousness, inappropriate behaviors, disrespectful behavior or language that can not be controlled etc.), we feel that this policy needs to be stated and enforced.

As a parent, you have the right to choose to allow your child (male or female) to attend lessons during non-business hours, and not be present.  We ask that you sign this waiver of responsibility on the part of Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars and MC Guitar Works, for any situations that may arise during these lessons times.

I, __________________________________, hold Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars and MC Guitar Works harmless for any situation that may arise during a specified lesson time that occurs after normal business hours of store operation, as stated above.  I am aware that I, ______________________________ assume all responsibility in this case, and can make no claim against Bear Hollow Vintage Guitars and MC Guitar Works for any grievances against them.
